Two years after its inaugural DB plan sponsor survey, Vanguard conducted a follow-up study to learn what effects the market, economic, regulatory, and interest rate environments have had on DB plans and sponsors' concerns about them. Among the key findings: Because more than two-thirds are now using at least one kind of LDI derisking strategy, allocations to domestic bonds have increased from 30% in 2010 to 35%, which reflects the strategy; and pension risk remains the top concern.
