Digital environments are emerging as an important way to improve investor outcomes. In "The Short-Term Impact of a Redesigned Home Page on Participant Savings," Vanguard looks at one recent change in 401(k) participant experience—a redesign of the participants' landing, or home page. We found that although exposure to the new page did not result in increased savings within the first few months of the page's launch, it did lower the proportion of participants who reduced their contribution rates.
